Tuesday, May 11, 2004: Upon arrival in Rome the KC group transfers by bus to the residences in Montepulciano, and after settling down there will be a walking tour of the city, in order to locate banks, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, bread shops etc. This will enable students and faculty to locate the Fortezza, where classes will be held.

Wednesday, May 12: 9:00 – 12:00: Classes at the Fortezza; 12:00 – 2:00: Lunch at Casa Sacro Cuore; 2:00 – 5:00: Classes at the Fortezza.

Thursday, May 13: Classes at the Fortezza.

Friday, May 14: Renaissance Italy: Field trip to Florence. 9:00 Leaving by bus; arrival in Florence; visits to the Museums Il Bargello, and the Uffizi Gallery. Lunch in Florence; After lunch: bus tour of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo. San Miniato al Monte. Fiesole. Return to Montepulciano. 8:30 dinner.

Saturday May 15: Medieval Italy; Field trip to Assisi and Gubbio. 9:00 Departure from Montepulciano; Arrival in Assisi. Visit to Chiesa di San Francesco. Tempio Sopra Minerva. Chiesa di Santa Chiara. Lunch in Assisi. After Lunch: Departure for Gubbio; arrival in Gubbio; visit to the Cathedral, Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo del Comune. Return to Montepulciano; 8:30: dinner.

Sunday May 16: Medieval Italy: Field trip to Siena and Arezzo. 9:00 Departure from Montepulciano; arrival in Siena; visit to the Duomo, Campo, Museum of the Duomo. Lunch in Siena; after lunch: departure for Arezzo; arrival in Arezzo; visit to the Duomo, Palazzo del Comune, Campo, Pieve di Santa Maria. Return to Montepulciano; 8:30 dinner.

Monday-Thursday, May 17 –20: 9:00 am – 17:00 (5:00 pm): Classes at the Fortezza.

Friday, May 21: Renaissance Italy/English-American Writers in Italy: Field trip to Florence; 9:00 leaving by bus; arriva in Florence; visit to the Accademia, Chiesa di San Marco; lunch in Florence; after lunch, visit to the Chiesa di San Lorenzo, Chiesa di Santa Croce. Free time to explore and climb up the Giotto Bell Tower. Return to Montepulciano; 8:30 dinner.

Saturday, May 22: Ancient History and Archaeology; Filed trip to Hannibal’s Battlefield; visit to the nine stations of the battle. Visit to the Trasimeno: Campo del Sole. Lunch at Tuoro; after lunch, departure for Roselle. Arrival in Roselle; exploration of the Etruscan archaeological site. Return to Montepulciano; 8:30 dinner.

Sunday, May 23: Italian Medieval History: file trip to Pisa and Lucca. 9:00 departure for Pisa; arrival in Pisa; visit to the Duomo and the leaning tower; lunch in Pisa; after lunch departure for Lucca; arrival in Lucca; visit to the Duomo. Return to Montepulciano; 8:30 dinner.

Monday-Wednesday, May 24-26: 9:00am – 17:00 (5:00 pm): Classes at the Fortezza.

Thursday, May 27- Sunday May 30: Ancient History and Archaeology: Field trip to Cumae, Pompeii , Paestum, Capri and Naples.

Sunday May 30: Departure for Naples; arrival in Naples; visit to the Archaeological Museum. Departure for Rome. Arrival in Rome and transfer to Maestre Pie Filippini. Upon arrival in Rome and after settling in the rooms, there will be a walking tour of the area around St. Peter’s and Castel Sant’Angelo, and, for the willing, the Tiber and Trastevere (Medieval Rome). The following are the sites in Rome that the KC group should be able to visit:
Ancient Rome:Colosseum; Roman Forum; Trajan Forum; Capitoline Museums; Villa Giulia (Etruscan Museum); Christian Rome: Mamertine Prison; Catacumbs; Quattro Santi Coronati; San Clemente; Santa Maria in Trastevere; St. Peter'sVatican.

Monday, May 31 - Thursday, June 3: after breakfast: 9:00am – 5:00 pm (with a break for lunch): Classes and field trips to the above sites.

Friday, June 4 - Tuesday, June 15: Touring : Genoa, Turin, Milan, Venice

Tuesday, June 15: Depart Rome
